First Annual DDC Family Book Club!

The San Francisco Dependency Drug Court (DDC) is pleased to announce its first annual DDC Family Book Club taking place this summer from June 3 to August 9. DDC participants can win raffle tickets for prizes when they submit weekly reading logs with the amount of time they spend reading books or telling stories to their children. Free books will be available during DDC status hearings.

The DDC Family Book Club is registered with the Summer Read SF 2013, the San Francisco Public Library's summer reading program.

Through the DDC Family Book Club, the DDC team seeks to motivate parents to read more with their children and learn about the importance of early childhood language development. DDC team members will offer parents ideas and strategies to engage their children in reading and storytelling. Parents will also be encouraged to attend children's events sponsored by the San Francisco Public Library.
